Genitive case (ilik septik) answers the questions kimniń? kimderdiń? (whose?), neniń? nelerdiń? (what?) and is used to show belonging.

Genitive case (ilik septik) has the endings: -nyń (-niń), -dyń, (-diń), -tyń (-tiń).

Nouns in the genitive case (ilik septik) in the proposal are the definition (anyqtaýysh) and stand before the modified word (anyqtaıtyn sózdiń altyna). The defined word is used the possessive form. The defined word acquires the 3rd person affix  -y/-i, -sy/-si.
